Does the Fort Worth Zoo still have an area where attendees can feed birds?

By Keyla Holmes
NO

Fort Worth Zoo attendees are no longer able to visit the Parrot Paradise exhibit to feed birds.

The exhibit was renovated in summer 2023 to become the new home of lesser flamingos, according to a Fort Worth Zoo spokesperson.

The zoo has undergone a series of renovations since 2016, when A Wilder Vision, a four-part, $130 million project, was started to create new space for habitats and more ways for people to interact with animals. The project also is dedicated to the survival of many endangered species.

The lesser flamingo is a species in which the zoo is heavily involved in conserving, according to a Fort Worth Zoo spokesperson. The former home of the flamingos will be renovated in the fourth part of the zoo’s renovation project.

The Fort Worth Zoo has completed three of the renovations so far, according to a Fort Worth Zoo spokesperson.
