YES
The city of Fort Worth has laws and regulations against littering on roads.
Individuals caught littering and creating waste while driving are fined up to $2,000 per violation, according to the city. City code requires drivers to secure debris in truck beds to keep it from falling onto the road.
People who fail to secure or cover truck loads could face citations from code officers or police officers.
The city isn’t responsible for removing litter on highways, despite crews starting to do so. That responsibility falls to the Texas Department of Transportation.
TxDOT offers an Adopt-a-Highway program and the Don’t mess with Texas Trash-Off program. Residents can apply to organize litter pickups on highways to keep the area clean.
