Does Nevada offer scholarships for low-income students to attend private school?

Nevada’s Educational Choice Scholarship Program provides scholarships to eligible students whose families earn less than 300% of the federal poverty level to attend one of a select 97 registered participant private schools, the majority of which are in Clark County. It also allows businesses to receive tax credits in exchange for a contribution to a Scholarship Grant Organization.

As of the 2022-2023 school year, the maximum Opportunity Scholarship amount payable per student is $8,726, based on the Consumer Price Index. The average private school tuition in Nevada is $10,303 per year, with elementary schools averaging $10,544 per year and high schools averaging $11,407 per year.
