The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Expenditure Series estimates Nevada households spent about $10,680 for food at home in the year 2025, based on federal expenditure data.

Using U.S. Census Bureau 2024 American Community Survey estimates, Nevada has about 1.1 million households used for the per-household calculations. 

Nevada ranks among the top 10 mainland states for estimated grocery spending per household.

Federal datasets do not publish an official state ranking, and exact placement varies depending on methodology.
