The Fort Worth ISD board of managers moved the first day of school during an April 28 meeting.

The first day is Aug. 10, a day earlier than the calendar that elected trustees approved in Dec. 2025.

Managers also shifted days off for students, including setting the last day of the winter semester as Dec. 18 and the final school day as May 21, 2027.
