Was Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez photographed wearing $3,900 sunglasses?

By Christiana Dillard
NO

A social media post about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez showed her wearing nice-looking sunglasses. But were they $3,900 worth of nice?

A clue was that the post came from The United Spot, which calls itself a "Satire Page."

The sunglasses are Ray-Bans. This particular pair sells for $176.

So not from a drugstore. But not Kardashian-worthy either.

This fact brief is responsive to conversations such as this one.
