Does Nevada have the highest rate of intimate partner violence in the US?

no

While Nevada's rate of intimate partner violence ranks above average, it is not the highest in the U.S.

Nevada is in the top quartile for lifetime physical intimate partner violence among women and the second highest quartile among men, according to a report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that analyzed data from 2010 to 2012. Physical intimate partner violence encompasses physical violence, sexual violence and stalking.

The report found that 43.8% of Nevada women and 32.8% of Nevada men experience physical intimate partner violence. For comparison, Kentucky had the highest rate for women at 45.3% and Idaho had the highest rate for men at 38.2%.

Relatedly, Nevada has the fourth highest rate of domestic violence, according to a World Population Review analysis of data from the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
