Did the prime minister of Japan hold a ‘Trump 2024’ sign during remarks made alongside Kamala Harris?
A video showing Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga with a "Make America Great Again" hat and a sign in support of Donald Trump has clearly been manipulated. Other video of the event shows him as he was, dressed in a suit, sporting a blue tie and a white face mask — no hat and no sign in sight.
Suga and Vice President Kamala Harris both delivered remarks on April 16, 2021, before a bilateral meeting with President Joe Biden. The White House released a copy of their comments and a video of their appearance together.
As seen in the White House video, Suga is not wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat, nor is he holding a 'Trump 2024' sign.
