Did Pfizer under-report the number of deaths in its COVID-19 vaccine clinical trial?

By Dean Miller
NO

Novelist Alex Berenson wrote in his newsletter that "more people died in the key clinical trial for Pfizer's COVID vaccine than the company publicly reported."

Dr. Stephen Thomas says a long-term study doesn't wait until the end to begin analyzing findings.

It's not surprising an amateur would be confused by finding a variety of results for a study, he said. The data are somewhat complex because the study is in constant motion and the data are constantly changing.

Thomas added there will naturally be deaths of study participants over the course of a large, long-term study, unrelated to the vaccine. Research experts at the FDA and elsewhere have cautioned the public not to fall prey to the correlation/causation fallacy.

This fact brief is responsive to conversations such as this one.
