Did PETA ignore government experiments on beagle puppies?

Someone on social media couldn't understand why People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals wasn't doing anything about alleged testing on dogs in laboratories by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

In fact, PETA had called on Francis Collins, director of the National Institutes of Health, to end experiments on beagle puppies in August 2021.

PETA said its senior vice president Kathy Guillermo went public in front of four million Fox viewers opposing the dog experiments on Aug. 13.
