Did editor Carlos Tejada brag in a video about getting his COVID-19 booster?

By Ed Payne
NO

Carlos Tejada, the deputy Asia editor of The New York Times, died on Dec. 17, 2021, of a heart attack. He had received a COVID-19 booster shot the same day.

A video making the social media rounds of a man bragging about getting his booster is supposedly of Tejada.

It's actually of a Canadian comedian named Stewart Reynolds. He posted: "To clarify, and as is plainly evident: I am not a NYT editor."

This fact brief is responsive to conversations such as this one.
