At the time, Sanders was the star cornerback for the San Francisco 49ers returning to Atlanta to play the Falcons, the team that had employed him for the previous five years. It was a prime-time matchup for the player known as “Prime Time,” and Sanders delivered, returning an interception 93 yards for a touchdown, contributing to the 42-3 rout of the Falcons.
