Do Texas Planned Parenthood centers provide abortion services?
None of the 40 Planned Parenthood locations in Texas offer abortion services. This includes the clinic in El Paso that opened in November 2024.
Texas law prohibits abortions in nearly all circumstances except if a patient’s life is in danger or to prevent “substantial impairment of major bodily function,” Texas Health and Safety code states.
Planned Parenthood’s website provides a link to an abortion services provider finder tool called AbortionFinder.
Texas Planned Parenthood locations offer birth control, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancy testing and planning, HIV services, gender-affirming care, and other health care services.
Planned Parenthood offers abortion services in states where abortion is legal or protected, among other sexual and reproductive health care.
