The two tallest buildings in Colorado Springs — the 15-story Wells Fargo Tower and the 14-story FirstBank Building — are set for a foreclosure auction starting Oct. 21, El Paso County records show. 

The buildings are part of a downtown complex valued at $70 million whose owners, four Delaware-based limited liability corporations, owe nearly $60 million on a $74 million loan from Wilmington Trust. Also in foreclosure are a third office building, a retail center and a parking garage.

The garage, estimated to be worth $22.5 million, is the complex’s second-most valuable structure after the Wells Fargo Tower, worth $23 million.

Foreclosure records didn’t say when the owners first defaulted on payments.

In 2025, the Colorado Springs City Council approved plans for a $225 million, 27-story OneVela residential tower, which would become the city’s tallest building if constructed.
