Did ICE agents work security at BTS concerts in El Paso’s Sun Bowl Stadium?

no

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement was not present at Sun Bowl Stadium on the University of Texas at El Paso campus during the BTS concerts May 2-3, university officials said.

Multiple law enforcement agencies were present at the event to provide additional  security, including Homeland Security Investigations. HSI is the principal investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security; while ICE focuses on immigration enforcement, detention and removal operations.

ICE referred El Paso Matters to UTEP for questions about the event and did not confirm or deny any presence.

Other law enforcement agencies included the Federal Bureau of Investigation, El Paso Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety and UTEP Police Department, according to photos and videos from the event.
