Are there still toll roads in the state of Missouri?

no

The state of Missouri currently has no active toll roads.

Since 2024, the state has been entirely toll-free, which means drivers do not have to pay fees to use any highways, roads or bridges maintained by the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Throughout its history, Missouri has had very limited toll infrastructure, with the last remaining toll road being the Lake of the Ozarks Community Bridge. The bridge ended its toll collection in April 2024 after its debt from construction was paid off. The lack of toll roads in Missouri comes from public policy; voters rejected a statewide toll-road proposal in 1970 and 1992. Since then, the state has long restricted developing any toll-funded highways.

Missouri instead funds transportation through vehicle fees, federal funding and fuel taxes. Occasionally, a proposal will arise, but none are currently active.
