Democratic nominee Katie Hobbs is projected to win the Arizona governor's race against Republican nominee Kari Lake. The last Democratic governor of Arizona was Janet Napolitano, who held office from 2003-2009.Since 2009, Arizona Republicans have held majorities in both state legislative chambers and the governor's office. The 2022 election results for the state legislative races have not yet been finalized, but the projected outcome is that Republicans will control the state house and senate.
