Will a 2020 false elector for Donald Trump become an election official in Nevada?
In December 2020, six Nevada Republicans signed and submitted federal election documents that contradicted the official state presidential election results, as certified by Republican Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske.
One of those false electors was Jim Hindle, who won the 2022 Storey County Republican primary election for Clerk-Treasurer. Hindle is running unopposed in the November general election, and will thus become the county’s chief election officer in 2023.
