Is the widower of cinematographer shot by Alec Baldwin the Clinton attorney indicted in the Russia probe?

By Ed Payne
NO

The widower of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins is attorney Matthew Hutchins. The attorney who worked for Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign is Michael Sussmann, who was indicted in the Justice Department's Russia probe.

Contrary to a social media post, they are two different men who worked for two different law firms.

Matthew Hutchins, whose wife was killed on a movie set when actor Alec Baldwin fired a prop gun, is an attorney with the Los Angeles office of the law firm Latham & Watkins, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Michael Sussmann, a lawyer for Perkins Coie law firm at the time of his indictment, has since resigned from that firm.

Two attorneys representing Sussmann also work at Latham & Watkins, said the firm's public relations manager, Deanna M. Kicklighter, but have no other connection with Matthew Hutchins.
