Has Elon Musk said he might sue Gov. Tim Walz for defamation?

yes

In an exchange on X, formerly Twitter, Elon Musk suggested he may sue Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz for defamation over a statement the governor made calling Musk’s gesture at Trump’s inauguration a “Nazi salute.”

On Jan. 28, conservative activist Robby Starbuck posted on X: “Creepy Tim Walz says ‘of course’ Elon did a Nazi salute. I hope Elon sues him for all he’s worth.” Musk responded to this post saying: “I think I will. Tim Walz is a creepy” with a clown emoji at the end of the text.

The Anti-Defamation League, an organization founded to combat anti-Semitism, defines the Nazi salute as “raising an outstretched right arm with the palm down.”

Musk denied the accusations, tweeting, “Frankly, they need better dirty tricks. The ‘everyone is Hitler’ attack is sooo tired.”
