Fact Brief: Is the Quinlan Community Center in Cupertino still adding solar panels?
Cupertino is still installing photovoltaic panels above the Quinlan Community Center parking lot. A March 2026 update on the city’s website confirms the project is underway and the support beams seen in the parking lot are for the panel installation. The project has been delayed as the city obtains the required permits for the sprinkler system. Cupertino estimates the solar panel installation will be completed by September of 2026.
The solar panel installation was part of Cupertino’s 2024-25 budget and similar panel installations are going up at the Cupertino Community Hall and Sports Center.
