Did Florida alone launch more spacecrafts than anywhere in the world?

Clinton Engelberger | Suncoast Searchlight, Suncoast Searchlight

yes

Florida’s two space ports –– Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station –– produced more space launches last year than any other country.

The state’s 109 launches in 2025 accounted for 57% of all U.S. launches and about 35% of the world’s.

Florida has seen a sharp increase in launches over the years; it had 31 in 2021 and 93 in 2024.

The Sunshine State’s status as a leading launch hub supports Gov. Ron DeSantis’ recent claims about the success of Florida’s Space Coast.
