Does the band Earth, Wind & Fire have ties to Colorado?
Bailey, a percussionist studying at the University of Colorado, joined the already-formed group in 1972. He is featured on several hits including the Billboard-chart topping “Shining Star.” Shortly after joining, Bailey recruited fellow Colorado residents Larry Dunn, a keyboardist, and Andrew Woolfolk, a saxophonist. The three had attended Denver East High School, where they formed a group that once opened for Earth, Wind & Fire. Dunn left Earth, Wind & Fire in the 1980s. Woolfolk left in 1993. He died in 2022.
