Does Joe Lombardo support a national abortion ban?
Joe Lombardo identifies as pro-life, but has said he would oppose a national ban on abortion out of respect for the will of the people of Nevada. Since a 1990 public referendum, abortion has been legal in Nevada up to 24 weeks into pregnancy.
If the federal government were to pass a more restrictive abortion limitation than Nevada's, it would override Nevada law. Lombardo said he would fight to keep Nevada’s laws in place if a more restrictive federal limitation on abortion is passed.
