NO
Despite the claim in a social media post that features a long list of names, the deaths of agents listed were not recent. Some go back 100 years.
All of the names on the list are found on the U.S. Customs and Border Protection website in the "In Memoriam" section.
The list includes 78 men and women's names with no death dates given. The CBP website does include death dates, with the earliest being 1919 and the most recent being 2020.
Not a single person on the list died in the 90 days prior to June 27, 2021, when the list was published. Harris was sworn in as vice president on January 20, 2021.
Eleven CBP officers have died since January 20, per the website, but none of them are on the list posted on social media.
