Do health care workers administering COVID-19 tests need to quarantine after testing those who are positive?

By Courtney Kealy
NO

Some people using Facebook think it's highly suspicious that the people who administer COVID-19 tests don't have to quarantine, even though the odds are that they will eventually come into contact with people who do test positive.

The short answer is that the health care personnel who administer the tests don't need to frequently quarantine because they wear personal protective equipment and are only in close contact for seconds, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
