Did more people vote on Election Day in Maricopa County in 2022 than 2020?
The final 2020 election results from Maricopa County show 167,878 people voted on Election Day. According to the current unofficial results from the county, 231,482 people voted on Election Day in 2022.
Even though more people voted on Election Day in 2022 compared to 2020, overall turnout among registered voters was still lower, as is typical with midterm election years. Registered voter turnout was 80% in 2020 and unofficial results indicate 2022 turnout was around 47% in Maricopa County. Results will be finalized in the coming weeks.
