Did an Arizona judge rule that armed Clean Elections USA drop box monitors must stay 250 feet away from ballot drop boxes?
A U.S. District Court Judge from Arizona granted a temporary restraining order that says Clean Elections USA-affiliated drop box monitors openly carrying firearms or wearing body armor must stay at least 250 feet away from ballot drop boxes.
The restraining order also states that unarmed drop box monitors must not “intentionally” come within 75 feet of a drop box, follow voters to a drop box, or “speak to or yell at” an individual dropping off a ballot.
The temporary restraining order, signed on Nov. 1, will expire after 14 days.
