Did a woman die after a COVID-19 vaccination in Mexico, with her collapse caught on video?

By Sarah Thompson
NO

There is ample evidence two women fainted at a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for teachers in León, Guanajuato, Mexico, on May 4, 2021. The teachers' fainting spells were reported in local news: both women recovered at the scene and neither required hospitalization.

But there is no evidence of a death as claimed by those using a video clip of an unconscious woman at the clinic to discourage vaccination.

A news article from am.com.mx included a photo captioned, in English: "A primary school teacher in her 50s is cared for by a nurse after receiving the vaccine at the Poliforum de León."

The woman fainted due to low blood pressure and was cared for by paramedics, the article said. The second teacher who fainted was in her 20s. She explained that she fainted from panic due to her fear of needles.
