YES
There is a self-proclaimed micro-nation within Nevada called the Republic of Molossia that has not been formally recognized by the United Nations, the U.S. or any international governments. Founded with the purchase of land in 1998 by Kevin Baugh, Molossia sits on 11 acres of land in Dayton, Nevada, and has a post office, bank and office of the president, but is not an independent nation.
