The Clark County School District's licensed personnel count hit 17,110 in July 2022 — its lowest number in six school years.
The licensed employee count decreased by 56 employees from the 2016-17 school year to the 2021-22 school year, according to data CCSD's Human Resources Division collects each October (when the first grading period ends).
An analysis by the Clark County School District found that vacancy rates are not equitably distributed among all schools, with majority Black and Hispanic schools facing vacancy rates of higher than 20%.
