Is Oklahoma City one of the largest cities in America by area?
According to a ranking done by the World Population Review, Oklahoma City is the eighth-largest city in America by land area.
The four largest cities in America are all in Alaska and far surpass any in the contiguous United States, with land areas from 1,705 square miles to 2,870 square miles. Jacksonville, Florida, the fifth-largest American city, has a land area of 747 square miles.
At 606 square miles, the land area of Oklahoma City is more than three times that of Tulsa, the next largest city in Oklahoma.
Oklahoma City is also the 20th largest city in America by population–more populous than Nashville, El Paso, Washington D.C., Las Vegas, and Boston.
