Did Nevada approve a 'cannabis-friendly' hotel in Las Vegas?

By Todd Butterworth
NO

The Lexi, an off-Strip cannabis-friendly hotel formerly known as the Artisan Hotel, has been planned for Las Vegas, but the cannabis portion must first receive approval from the Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board. According to The Lexi's CEO Alex Rizk, "We're still working with a few things there. But it's going to be a strong goal of ours to make it happen."

Intended to open in April 2023, as of Jan. 26, the only mention of cannabis on The Lexi's website is related to its planned “cannabis-enlightened” steakhouse.

The 2021 Nevada Legislature enacted AB 341, which authorized the CCB to license and regulate cannabis consumption lounges. The new business category is intended to provide safe and regulated spaces for the consumption of marijuana, particularly by tourists who previously had limited options for consuming legal cannabis.
