Has Oklahoma’s registered voter turnout rate been 30% in recent elections?

no

According to statistics released by the Oklahoma State Election Board, 70% of registered Oklahomans voted in the 2020 general election.

An additional independent analysis incorporating consideration of issues such as variability of registration methods and requirements concluded 55% of Oklahoma’s entire voting-eligible population participated in the general election. That placed the state last in turnout of all 50 states and DC.

Most recently, 50% of Oklahoma’s registered voters voted in the 2022 midterm elections. That amounted to 40% of the voting-eligible population, the sixth lowest state turnout that year.

National turnout of the US voting-eligible population in 2020 was 67%; in 2022, 46%.
