Has Adam Laxalt lived outside of Nevada?

By Esther Tsvayg
YES

Although Adam Laxalt is the grandson of former Nevada governor and U.S. Senator Paul Laxalt, and was born in Reno, Nevada, he was raised in Washington, D.C., where he attended undergraduate school and law school before serving in the Navy and being deployed to Iraq.

During his bid for the governor of Nevada in 2018, a dozen of his family members published an op-ed in The Reno-Gazette Journal, writing that, “It’s difficult to hear him continue to falsely claim that he was raised in Nevada or has any true connections to Nevadans.” This prompted a separate response from 22 additional family members, who indicated that Laxalt moved back to Nevada in 2011, and that regardless of his residency, the Laxalt family goes back many generations in Nevada. Fourteen members of the Laxalt family issued a similar letter endorsing his opponent this election cycle.
