YES
Republican candidate for Arizona Secretary of State Mark Finchem has voted against multiple bills offering financial support to veterans while serving as a member of Arizona's House of Representatives for Arizona's 11th Legislative district:
- In 2021, Finchem was one of only two Arizona House members to vote against an amendment that would have waived licensing fees for veterans along with people in the military and people below 200% of the federal poverty guideline.
- In 2019, Finchem voted against a bill that would have appropriated $1.2 million to the department of veterans' services to hire additional benefits counselors.
- In 2016, Finchem voted against a bill that would have established a process for awarding state contracts to veteran-owned businesses.
The Arizona Center for Investigative Reporting could not find publicly available information about Finchem's stance on veterans or his reasoning for voting against these bills.
