Did every single county in North Dakota vote against a ban on property taxes in 2024?

All 53 counties in North Dakota voted against a 2024 ballot measure that would have largely eliminated property taxes. 

Constitutional Measure 4 appeared on the November 5, 2024, general election ballot and proposed prohibiting political subdivisions from levying property taxes on real property, except to pay off existing bonded debt. 

The measure would have amended multiple sections of Article X of the North Dakota Constitution. According to official results from the North Dakota Secretary of State, voters statewide rejected the measure with about 63% voting no. 

County-level results show that a majority of voters in every county voted against the measure. 

Even in counties where support for the measure was strongest, the “no” vote still received more than 50% of ballots cast.
