YES
In August, Republican U.S. Senate candidate for Arizona Blake Masters removed some anti-abortion language from his website, suggesting he had decided to soften his stance ahead of the general election.
Deletions included "I am 100% pro-life" along with his support for "a federal personhood law (ideally a Constitutional amendment) that recognizes that unborn babies are human beings that may not be killed."
In addition to supporting the overturning of Roe v. Wade, Masters' current positions on abortion include:
- Continuing to bar taxpayer funding of abortions.
- Stripping Planned Parenthood of taxpayer funding.
- Constitutionally banning late-term and partial-birth abortions.
- "Supporting pro-life legislation, pregnancy centers, and programs that make it easier for pregnant women to support a family and decide to choose life."
Masters supports Arizona's new 15-week abortion ban that lacks exceptions for rape and incest.
