Did Arizona State University cancel an event because of Erika Kirk?

no

No. Arizona State University canceled the “Unfuck America Tour” event, a stop on a nationwide circuit by the political organization National Ground Game, because organizers missed the university’s registration deadline, an ASU spokesperson told The State Press.

National Ground Game describes itself as a progressive counterweight to Turning Point USA, a conservative organization with a significant presence on college campuses. The “Unfuck America Tour” was launched specifically to counter Turning Point’s campus outreach efforts.

A Turning Point event was canceled by ASU for the same reason, and CEO Erika Kirk publicly expressed frustration that Turning Point wasn’t able to compete with the progressive tour. National Ground Game’s executive director speculated that Kirk’s comments may have influenced ASU’s decision, but a Turning Point spokesperson denied any involvement.
