Are there only four bars in Minneapolis?

no

There are hundreds of bars in Minneapolis. While it may seem obvious that the city has more than four bars, many people online have posed questions about the size of Minneapolis after the city was featured in the fifth season of the Netflix dating show “Love is Blind.”

The size of the city’s bar scene came into question as viewers learned multiple show contestants frequented the same bars and had mutual connections outside of “the pods.”

Contestant Monica Danús was even quoted in a Vulture article saying “there are four bars.” Though this was said facetiously in the context of running into the same people during evening outings, that was not clarified in the article.

While there is no definitive list of Minneapolis bars, the AI data tool Smartscrapers identified 239 as of January 2025. A quick search on Google Maps surfaces hundreds of results. North Loop alone — the neighborhood where “Love is Blind” was filmed — displays at least 16 bars.
