Is the former Nevada Republican Party chair suing other Nevada Republicans?

By Todd Butterworth
YES

Amy Tarkanian, who previously served as the Nevada Republican Party chair, Elliot Malin, a lobbyist from Reno, and Jason Guinasso, a Reno-based attorney, are suing top Nevada Republican Party members for defamation.

The Republican claimants crossed party lines and endorsed incumbent Democrat Attorney General Aaron Ford in his race against Republican Sigal Chattah. The three claimants are suing for defamation after remarks made by party Executive Director Alida Benson and others during a September meeting of the Clark County Republican Central Committee, which took action to censure Republicans supporting Ford and other Democrats this election. The lawsuit alleges the comments made by the defendants have harmed their reputations and ability to earn money in their respective fields.
