Does video footage made after the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan show them using anti-aircraft weaponry?

By Marlo Lee
NO

The Facebook page Military Videos recently published a post about a video with the comment, "Anti-aircraft weapons and drones are also suspected to have fallen to the Afghan Taliban."

Some Indian news broadcasts that saw the footage claimed that the Pakistani air force attacked the Panjshir valley.

In fact, the video came from the video game Arma 3.

The video in the Facebook post ends with a message in Japanese that roughly translates to:

This video is fiction. The names of the people and groups that appear are fictitious and have nothing to do with real things.

This fact brief is responsive to conversations such as this one.
