YES
Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, the Democratic nominee for Arizona governor, showed up to her office 25 times in 2022, according to state badge swipe records. That’s about four to five times a month, on average.
The Secretary of State’s Office has told multiple news outlets that it continues to allow remote work, however, indicating that the time Hobbs spends on site is not indicative of the total time she commits to the job.
Sporadic attendance is not rare for elected officials in Arizona, regardless of political party. Leaders at the city, county and state level have been criticized for rarely showing up to the office in recent years.
