Did Delta Force arrest Chelsea Clinton and her husband for attempting to sell Haitian children to a trafficking ring?

By Marlo Lee
NO

A Pentagon official and a U.S. Army spokesperson told Lead Stories that an online article making the claim is completely false.

The claim originated with Real Raw News, a website that tells its readers, "This website contains humor, parody, and satire." Although the site carries that disclaimer, social media users share and link to the site's articles without mention of the disclaimer or the nature of the site.

The site has a history of publishing mock news stories. For example, the site reported that Hillary Clinton was hanged (she wasn't); former White House Chief of Staff John Podesta was executed (he wasn't); and that "the military" convicted former Attorney General William Barr for treason (it didn't).

Chelsea Clinton was active on her verified Twitter account a day after the bogus story appeared, tweeting in support of global vaccinations against COVID-19.

This fact brief is responsive to conversations such as this one.
